A knowledge base is an easy-access resource for all kinds of helpful information, in our case, everything is related to Organic Chemistry. Most of the functions on the knowledge base are similar to what you may have seen on other information-based websites, which will allow for an easy learning curve.
There are many ways you can find information on the KB:
Use the search box at the top left of the page: a topic can be entered into the search box and a listing of related articles will appear.
Manually navigate through articles using the folder menu: by navigating through the folders on the left of your screen, you can easily find articles related to a specific topic, almost like a textbook.
A large glossary of Organic terms is available: if you come across a term that appears in red, simply left click on that word and a definition will appear without navigating away from the article you are reading. Or, you can browse for an Organic term in the glossary tab located at the top of the screen.
If you cannot find the information you are looking for on the KB, simply click “Ask a Question” located next to the glossary tab. This allows you to send a direct message to the IUPUI Organic Chemistry Faculty. As you type your question, a list of potentially helpful articles will pop-up below the search box. If these articles do not contain the answer you are looking for, simply click the “Send” button and the question will be routed to a KB administrator, who will reply as soon as possible!
Finally, your input is extremely crucial to making this KB an ever-improving resource! At the bottom of each article there is a rating area that says “This article was: Helpful/Not Helpful” and to the right of that is an “Add comment” link. Please provide us with feedback if the article helped you solve your problem or if the article needs to be modified, and if you have any comments or questions, we would greatly appreciate those as well.
